It works fine as a heat protector spray. However, the scent to me smells synthetic even though the product is described as having no synthetic fragrance. I was hoping for a light, identifiable natural scent. But this is quite heady and overpowering. If you are sensitive to fragrances, I wouldn't recommend it - it gave me a headache.
