How to wear colour this winter

30 January 2019

From the moment the clocks turn back, we’re faced with the inevitable feeling of gloom as we prepare ourselves (and our wardrobes) for a cold, dark winter. For the majority of people, the first thing that goes out of the window when the seasons change is their sense of style. More often than not, there are days where the only reasonable solution to the freezing temperatures is to layer as many pieces as possible on top of each other with very little thought. Colour - often associated with and reserved for the warmer months - is also discarded, paving the way for darker tones of black, grey and blue. But you guessed it – we’re here to change your mind.

Choosing to wear bright hues (no matter what kind of form that takes) in the winter months is the quickest - and easiest - way to uplift your spirits and help you stand out from the dark crowd that normally congregates in the colder months. No matter whether you’re an introvert who steers clear of anything bright and garish or an extrovert who heavily relies on being the centre of attention, there’s something for everyone.

Confidence is key when it comes to opting for something brighter than the norm. It might be that you choose to add a bright hat, scarf or backpack or maybe you’re ready to go full throttle and pick a piece of outerwear or knitwear that’ll catch the eye of anyone you pass. But however you choose to wear it, you can be safe in the knowledge that you’ll likely be the only person in your close vicinity that’s actually doing something a little differently – all whilst changing your mindset and actually paving the way for men all over the world to go bright this winter.
